SSC JE Salary


SSC Junior Engineer (JE) exam is annually conducted by Staff Selection Commission for the recruitment of candidates for the job profile of the Junior Engineers who are employed under various departments such as Central Water Commission, Central Public Works Department, Defence (DGQA-NAVAL), Military Engineering Services, National Technical Research Organization. These posts in the departments are Group B non-gazetted posts where the Junior Engineers make plans and strategies in their specialized field. Also, they may have to make a plan regarding the allotment of work and supervision.
Taking a note of the posts and departments, it is quite evident that candidates have to undergo a tough competition in order to crack the SSC JE exam and finally get selected in one of the best departments. Depending on the department of posting, candidates have the opportunity to perform various works and after a tenure of a minimum of 5 years, there will be an opportunity to get promoted as an Assistant Engineer along with a good salary package under every department. Selection Process

  • Step 1: Written examination or Paper 1 (Objective Type). The mode of exam is online comprises of 200 marks.
  • Step 2: Written examination or Paper 2 is a conventional type for 300 marks. This exam will take place in an offline mode.
  • Note: Please note that there will be no interview round. Selection will be based on the marks secured in the above two papers.

In case of Tie, steps mentioned below will be followed:

1) Marks obtained in Paper-2

2) Marks obtained in Paper-1

3) Senior as per the date of birth (DOB)

4) Alphabetical order in first names of the students

SSC JE Admit Card

The Staff Selection Commission will release the SSC JE admit card in the month of November (tentatively). Please note that your admit card will not be sent to your postal address, the SSC JE admit card will only be accessible for download via online mode only.

To download your admit card, you need registration number and your date of birth (DOB). It is advisable to take print out of your admit card for future use. We will update this space, whenever the admit card for SSC JE is out.
